Looking for input on fixing the excessive toe-in of one of my axles.
If I measure center of one tire to the center of the other, both on the front and back of the tires, the difference is 9/16”. Cut that in half and total toe as measured that way is .28”.
Excessive? Going to cause issues other than tire wear?
If this is to be corrected, I’m told cold bending is out, but I’m also told to put a long pipe on the axle and pull. Another bit of advice has been that the gear will need to be uncovered and heated in order to straighten.
B.D. suggested I put this out there to see what the experts think. WWYD?
