Finalizing prop and spinner install. The spinner backplate mounting flange goes aft of the prop flange and I’m touching the cowl. The easiest fix would be a spacer of 1/8 to 1/4” between the crank flange and the spinner backplate. The drive bushings on the crank are nominally 1/2”. The spinner backplate eats up some of that. Question is….and can’t find this answer….is there a minimum depth that the drive bushings need to go into a wooden prop? Is 1/4” adequate? I will need to machine a spacer or find a different spinner or work some other fix….
