The Skybolt Builder's Manual

If you are building, or contemplating building the Skybolt from Steen Aero Labs, then this manual is a neccessity. It will save you literally hundreds of hours of head scratching, and will help you avoid making those typical first-time builder's mistakes that we all make at one time or another. If someone said to you 'I have something that will take hundreds of hours off your build for $45', you would snatch his hand off!'

One of our forum moderators, Randy, has spent untold hours in authoring this epic task as a labor of love. The Skybolt Builder's Manual is only accessible to Contributors only.

We are all spending a fortune on airplane parts, so a contribution of $45 for full access to the Manual plus updates seems insignificant, yet more importantly, when looking at the big picture - it is a bargain. Your Contribution will go toward website & Manual development costs. Please note, the Biplane Forum will always be a free resource, and you will never see Google ads or annoying pop ups - ever.

The Manual gives the builder hundreds of tips and guidance. It is available for download in Adobe PDF format, which is a great format for searching & printing hard copies.

The Skybolt Builder's Manual consists of the following chapters:

Index Introduction Revisions
Lower Wing Assembly Upper Wing Assembly Leading Edges
Wing Bows Ailerons Work Table
Problem Areas Drag Wire Holes Basic Fuselage
Spar Profiling Routed Ribs Truss Wing Ribs
4130 Fittings Charts-a Inverted Fuel Tank
Plans Fuel Tank Smoke System Torque Tube view sample
Walk Beam & Reverser I-Struts Cabane Struts
Servo Trim Tab Stabilizer & Elevator Tail Hinges
Vertical Fin Tools Charts
Glossary Materials List Canopies & Windshields
Miscellaneous Tube Notcher

More chapters coming soon!

Building something else? This Manual is still very handy to have around : If it is a typical Rag and Tube design like most biplanes, then the same building concepts apply.

The button will take you to Paypal. After successful payment, the administrator will be notified and access will be granted shortly afterwards. Please note that you do not have to be a member of Paypal in order to use their credit card processing. You also have to be a biplaneforum.com member to view the Manual.

Thank you for your support in making this website a great resource by contributing, and if you don't need the Manual - contribute anyway!
