After a year and a half I’m finally back in the air. This airplane sat most of its life after being built in 1996. It has about 245 hrs TT and only flew an hour in the previous seven years. Lots of little issues were addressed, plus I can’t leave anything alone, so I did some mods as well.
-Moved the battery forward
-Elevated the shoulder straps like the S2.
-Built a new panel
-Rewired the plane
-Corrected a lot of builder issues
-Overhauled the engine due to a rusty cam. Installed 9.0:1 pistons and pimped it out a bit.
-Installed a new Sensenich ground adjustable prop
The first flight went well other than a heavy left wing and needing more trim friction.

The prop is fantastic! Using a pitch setting of 5, I’m seeing about 170mph level WOT at 2750 rpm.

Need to do more testing and get more break-in time on the engine.

Feels good to be flying again.
