    • In addition to our active community, our content boasts exhaustive technical information which is often sought after for projects and maintenance. This information has accumulated over the 12+ years the forum has been in existence.
    • We are also a great resource for non biplane users, since many GA aircraft are built the same way (fabric and tube construction).
    • Annual membership also comes with two BiplaneForum.com decals.

My version, pretty much the same that was posted in Dave's thread. I added a few things.
1/2" drive tube with a 5.5 mm socket welded to the drill end, because it fit into the 1/2" tube. I'm using a 1/4" drive adapter to connect to the drill.
The other end of the drive tube has a 1/2" to 3/8" adapter, just because it fit the 1/2" tube perfectly.
The snowblower drive came with 3 holes and 1 roll pin. I cut it down to leave one hole. I drilled a 3/8" drive 3/4" socket for the roll pin hole. I made the holes in the socket slightly over size so it acts like a universal socket to some degree.
I wanted the drill to be a little more secure, so I welded a tab to support it better and a small tab on top to keep the band clamp from slipping down the tube.
Waiting on wheels, then I can determine the angle I want to weld the tailwheel lift bars. Looks like about 45° will do it.
Then final welding and paint.
I'm making the tailwheel lift bars just wide enough to fit the Scott on my Stinson and still fit the 6" API on the Hiperbipe.
