    • In addition to our active community, our content boasts exhaustive technical information which is often sought after for projects and maintenance. This information has accumulated over the 12+ years the forum has been in existence.
    • We are also a great resource for non biplane users, since many GA aircraft are built the same way (fabric and tube construction).
    • Annual membership also comes with two BiplaneForum.com decals.

I fly my AS1 out of my home field which inside class D. Told to report clear of delta. Just as I cleared D I decided to do a roll before reporting clear. My headset is attached to cloth helmet. I didn't have the chinstrap fastened and my headset came off. I pulled the cord to retrieve it to find it missing - in a farm field somewhere. Flew back to home field unable to call tower. When putting the plane away I heard the tower ask another aircraft if I had returned. I told the tower what had happened. Glad they were look out after me.
