Per Randy's request, I am reposting this hoping our new member, Bob Archer might be able to help with this. Of course if anyone else has practical experience with these antennas, I would love to hear about it.
I am wondering how bad the blind spot is with these antennas-
http://www.advancedaircraft.com/
I have yet to hear of someone using these.
This
would have to be installed horizontally in the upper wing (ply leading
edge). It would sit at 6.5 degrees from perpendicular to the thrust
line. We would love to use them but not if the blind spot is too great.
Their
transponder antenna might fit vertically in the upper wing but that is
a lot of extra wire and I was under the impression a transponder
antenna should be kept well away from passengers. Is this true?
cheers,
Jim
