    • In addition to our active community, our content boasts exhaustive technical information which is often sought after for projects and maintenance. This information has accumulated over the 12+ years the forum has been in existence.
    • We are also a great resource for non biplane users, since many GA aircraft are built the same way (fabric and tube construction).
    • Annual membership also comes with two BiplaneForum.com decals.

Thanks to Simon and Kelvin for giving me the push that I needed to get back in the saddle.
Kelvin PM'd me with a query on spin recovery and whether the mixer lifting/drooping the ailerons might hinder recovery. My only experience has been with upright spins and I had started to dabble with flat upright spins when life got in the way. I have had no trouble recovering using the normal method and the Beggs/Muller method. I haven't had a chance to experiment with the Finagin recovery.
My reasoning for the droop not hindering recovery is that most, if not all recovery methods are with ailerons neutral thus not allowing for the aileron position to interfere.
Anyone have any thoughts/experience with the spin recovery methods and droop interference hindering recovery?
