Hello Starduster Family,
1. Our Starduster Too flies well.
2. The longer 26 inch engine mount -- made by Don Adamson -- fit perfectly. This resolved the aft weight and balance issue.
3. The new cowling work went smoothly and fit fine.
4. The new oil, fuel lines and longer sensor lines all fit fine.
5. America's Aircraft Engines, Inc in Tulsa rebuilt the IO-360 B1E to perfection.
6. after 2 hours of circling the airport the plane will get to visit a new airport this weekend.
I had a lot of local support for the restoration and testing and rebuilding and ... rebuilding again. The tiny issues encountered serve to make a safer better airplane.
It flies straight and true.
