I've got a Skytec 149-12PM lightweight starter on a Christen Eagle. Its currently got about 25 hours since new on it. It works great. The problem is that under g load, the starter comes in contact with the cowling. The starter is undamaged, except for some scratches on the solenoid where this contact has taken place. I will gladly send some pictures of this to any interested party.

If I change to a 149-12LS, the solenoid is on the other side and the problem will be alleviated.

I would also be interested in buying a 149-12LS starter if someone has one that they'd like to part with.
