• The Biplane Forum is a large global active community of biplane builders, owners and pilots. From Pitts to Skybolts, to older barnstormers, all types are welcome. In addition to our active community, our content boasts exhaustive technical information which is often sought after for projects and maintenance. This information has accumulated over the 12+ years the forum has been in existence.

The Biplane Forum is a private community. Subscriptions are only $49.99/year or $6.99/month to gain access to this great community and unmatched source of information not found anywhere else on the web. We are also a great resource for non biplane users, since many GA aircraft are built the same way (fabric and tube construction). Annual membership also comes with two BiplaneForum.com decals.

Some of you may already know me but for the rest of you, I am neurodivergent. High Functioning Level 1 Autism. Asperger's. So, should you read this and care to respond it should be with that in mind.
OK, I'm stuck in neutral on my project and have lost interest. Restoring my Great Lakes should be enjoyable, but I have a bit of a snag. My ability to do anything is either all or nothing. My thinking has no shades other than black and white. I wanted to restore this airplane with most of the new production upgrades, but some work was done as repairs, not restoration. Now I'm stuck. The repairs have destroyed my interest in the project. The fuselage was gone for almost 3 years and a large sum of money was spent. The upgrades for the most part worked out great. It's the parts that received clam patches over dented tubes or piece of tube spliced in. I asked for restored, not repaired and my brain got stuck so I lost interest. Thoughts? In my brain there are 2 options, replace the tubes or sell the project.

Thanks all and Happy Easter!
