I first flew my Skyote on April 29 2021. It’s a great little airplane with 95 hrs on it to date.. I fly it 3 or 4 times a week and almost all flights are only aerobatics and T/O and landings. I think we have done 1500 aileron & snap rolls,
1000 loops & roll combinations, and about 400-500 T/O & landings.
I have attached some pictures of the finished plane for the type club page.
I ended up with 1080 shock cords and 10 psi tire pressure to make the plane less bouncy. The lighter shock cords require that the landing gear strut leg toggle blocks be lengthened 1” to restore the original design 1G strut length.
The tail wheel steering springs were moved to the inner holes on the rudder horns. That make the steering much less sensitive.
There are also some pictures of things I added to make the plane easier to be around .
1 A wing step and handle to help this 78 year old get in and out. The wing step structural details are shown on my type club picture pages 1379 – 1387. The top plate is .050 2024 T3, the bottom plate is.032 2024 T3
2 Brackets to stow the seat belts when not in use. Often, if you just drop the belts down next to the seat, they become entangled with the rudder cables and can be difficult to free.
3 A small float gauge to put into the fuel tank outlet next to the fuel nozzle during filling. This keeps me from filling the tanks to overflowing.
