Hi All, I've aksed a lot of the locals my questions ut don't get constaint answers. I'm gussing most people are repeating what they've been taught - which might be wivestails to gegin with. I thought I'd throw them out to this esteemed group.
1. Can I anneal a sparkplug thermocouple ring?
2. I've always been told to put the thermocouple on the bottom plug. I'd like to put themk on the top plugs becasue the bottom plugs have limited access and the thermocouple wire makes it even harder not to cross-thread. I've been told by some puttig the thermocouple on the top will read 50 degrees hotter, some say cooler, some say 25 degrees. What do you think?
3. I've been told the gasket style thermocouple will read 50 degrees hotter than a crew-in thermocouple. Do you agreee? Are the temps shown in the POH or engine manual based on screw-in temps?
Thanks for your insight,
Dave
