I'm modifying my S-2A instrument panel to add a couple of Trig remote heads in the center area at the bottom, The 3-1/8" G-meter's stock location is in that same area so it is getting evicted. Option #1 is to move it to the hole on the far left (see below) where the VOR head used to be. The instrument panel is a wrap-around style with 20° wing angles. So, will the 20° angle do anything important to the G-meter's readings? In straight pulls and pushes we see no differences in what the instrument experiences but what about things like snaps?
The other location option is a 2-1/4" instrument which would fit in the area above the Trig heads and below the compass.......
