New to me Eagle. A splendid day and a half flying four legs from Jackson, MS to Poplar Grove, IL. 10 hours on a ground up resto/overhaul when I wrote the check. Almost twice that now after checkout and flight home.

She came with literally everything but the interior upholstery/seat cushions. After trying various chutes I’m going to need a back pack chute and bottom cushion. We have a great auto upholstery shop down the street that will do a fine job but I need dimensions. I looked in the manuals and they have detailed description and drawings but no dimensions.

I’d love to buy an original set if someone is willing to part with them. Or loan them out for reproduction and I’d return. Or better yet measure them and share the specs. I’m looking to find/build a complete set, bottom and back cushions for both cockpits.

Next best option is I’ll start hacking some cheap foam and come up with my own patterns for the local shop.

I’m excited to finally have my own bipe. I didn’t set out looking for an Eagle but after finding this one and considering pros and cons vs. S-1 or S-2A I’m pretty happy with our find. My heart is still on a hot rod S-1 but that will come in time. I’m already thinking Wolf Wongs and an IO-390 for the Eagle, although my wife is not quite as enthusiastic. I must take my time on this one…

Smizo, expect a call later this summer to discuss wing options 👍

She needs a bit of rigging love and that is first on the list. See you all in the box at DeKalb.
