Question for all.

Just finishing up a long term rebuild of an S-2B which has the Puralator gascolator / filter body.

The filter called out for is the Puralator PR-303, is there a replacement option on these from another manufacturer such as NAPA or Fram (Aircraft Parts Division obviously), or does everyone still use the PR-303. These things are a little harder to get here in New Zealand.

Interestingly it does appear that the aircraft may have been flying for quite some time without, just utilising the fuel control unit last chance filter.

Thanks.
