Here's a question for the Pitts gurus.
I'm currently fitting a canopy to an S1 utilising the factory S1-S drawings and I have two problems currently.
Firstly relates to the reinforcement angle (-29) shown to back up the rail on the inside.
It will interfere with the air vents!
Easy answer is to shift the air vents but confused why it would be shown as such on the drawing.
Next issue I have is relating to the Knape & Voght rails, which I have, the canopy side fairing (piece with the latch attached) requires a 1/4" gap to actuate the latch, taking into account the width of the rail (1 1/4") the fairing should be closer to 1 1/2" (not including the 3/16" broken edge). The drawing shows 1 1/4".
I know, I should not 100% trust a drawing and should compare with actuality but this one time I made to the drawing and it's quite a way off.
Am I missing something? Has anyone else noticed this?
I guess I will be making these again
