    • In addition to our active community, our content boasts exhaustive technical information which is often sought after for projects and maintenance. This information has accumulated over the 12+ years the forum has been in existence.
    • We are also a great resource for non biplane users, since many GA aircraft are built the same way (fabric and tube construction).

I'm starting a project and considering plywood ribs. I have access to a CNC Laser, so I can get ribs cut in nothing flat.
What is the proper way to build ply ribs?
What I've found so far is triangular cutouts and capstrips.

Since this is a predominately wood oriented site, at least for wings, I'm asking the knowledge base here.

My main reason for ply ribs is expediency. Get er' done!

Thanks...
