I am currently in the process of researching what it takes to build a Pitts S-1. I haven’t decided in a variant yet outside of the thought that there seems to be less support available for an S-1-11B compared to others. My question is what are the general thoughts on using plans and a spruce kit from aircraft spruce? It seems like the “kit” is just raw material unlike wing kits from Steen that are more refined. What tools would be necessary for wing construction?
