Hello!
I recently recovered my wings and ailerons and when pulling off the fabric I noticed was small (maybe 3/4") strips of aluminum riveted (cherry max/pop rivets) over the top of the fabric between the wing and aileron.
It looks like they were a secondary means of making sure the fabric stayed glued to the aluminum. I'm new to fabric, but has anyone else seen this? And is it necessary with using poly fiber fabric systems? (The original was cotton).
