I shot a run through the '17 proposed Known. It's fun to fly, but pretty hard on altitude for the little stock Pitts. Pulled for Figure 1 at 3,100' AGL which of course busts the top of the box during that figure. Ended the sequence at 450' AGL. Temp was 63 degrees, so it'll only get worse in warm Wx. Altitude break will definitely be needed. Lots of rushed downlines here to preserve altitude. Figures 7 and 8 especially use a ton of altitude. I have to be min. 1,800' AGL on top of figure 8 just to finish that figure above 450' which I pretty much use as my personal floor for a box with trees. That 1-1/4 vertical down roll really chews altitude with my slow roll rate. Anyway, not super pretty but the Pitts gets through the figures.
