    • In addition to our active community, our content boasts exhaustive technical information which is often sought after for projects and maintenance. This information has accumulated over the 12+ years the forum has been in existence.
    • We are also a great resource for non biplane users, since many GA aircraft are built the same way (fabric and tube construction).

Does anyone else here prefer 3 point takeoffs? When I bought the Model 12 the manual basically says do not lift the tail for takeoff. Since I have been flying that thing off the ground in a 3 point attitude I really started to like that method. I started doing the same in the Cub and now in the 140. I see every other tailwheel pilot lift the tail before liftoff. I don't think I have seen anyone else take off from the 3 point attitude.
Just curious if I am the only one that does this? Sometimes I lift my tail but not very often. I am about to be flying another 540 Eagle and will probably do the same in that bird.
