Hi Folks
I am researching building a kit that is not listed on the major portion eligible amateur built aircraft list.

From what I have been able to find out, that in the states, it's not a big deal not listing the kit on the 51% list as the major portion inspection is done at completion of the build. So buy what you can afford build it, buy some more, complete it, inspect it, fly away happy.

So the way I understand the Canadian process is that the kit is assessed prior to any work being done. This requires the whole kit sitting in front of an inspector from MD-RA services. That eliminates ordering as you can afford to. Has anyone run it to this and found a resolution?
