    • In addition to our active community, our content boasts exhaustive technical information which is often sought after for projects and maintenance. This information has accumulated over the 12+ years the forum has been in existence.
    • We are also a great resource for non biplane users, since many GA aircraft are built the same way (fabric and tube construction).
    • Annual membership also comes with two BiplaneForum.com decals.

Many of you will remember Stella. It suffered a groundloop and I bought it for the engine. Before you yell at me, the engine is for another Bipe.
This is an easy project for someone who is thinking of building a biplane. $16,000 CDN , $12,000 US OBO
First flight was in July 2002. Since then it has flown 1774 hrs.
It was stripped and restored in 2021, with 1734 TT. New wood leading edges were installed ( performance improvement). Recovered with the double cover process.
It flew 40 hrs then had a ground loop. Left LG Shock strut folded in compression, left lower wing hit the ground cracking the spar.
To get flying again,
build one left lower wing, all fittings and aileron look reusable.
Build one landing gear shock strut.
Straighten one bent tube in belly and weld a reinforcement on it.
Install engine.
This would be much less work, faster, and cost much less than starting a build from scratch.
The big plus for Canadians is it has a Canadian "C of A AB" with TC Aerobatic Approval.
Included are a ton of documents going back to the start of the original build even including original receipts for parts. All log books back to first flight.
I am selling it without the engine, engine mount goes with the plane so you can just bolt in a Lyc and fly.
