Acrosport II for sale in MN?

Can't stand it any longer - I have to ask. Does anyone know the story of the Acrosport II that's on barnstormers and ebay? There must be a reason that people a lot more knowledgeable than myself aren't bidding on it. (I really want to - but I've kind of blown my flying budget working on an instrument rating, and it'd be pretty hard to convince my wife that I need another project airplane before I get the Jodel in the air.)

Are Acrosports just that cheap these days?
