OK, the replies to my thread about communications in an open cockpit were very helpful - problem not solved but I'm headed in the right direction.

I have another question. The gear on myAcro II(I did not build it) has the springs for shock absorption. I don't care for the feel it gives me on landing - it feels pretty spongy and frequently gives me a longitudinal kind of rolling action on rollout. I like a little stiffer gear. I've noticed on a lot of pictures that a number of airplanes have bungies instead. Anybody flown both, and how do the 2 systems compare? And, is it an easy change to go to bungies?
