The bottom right wing on my S-1C has a loose anti-drag wire. It is the one closest to the fuselage. I recently purchased the plane and imagine the wire has been this way for a while

I was able to get a borescoped in the front of the wing and the block looks well attached and the washer does not appear to be cupped. My question is how should I go about retentioning the wire?

The leading edges are plywood. The wire is secured with a nut against the rib/block and a lock nut on top of the plain nut.

My idea is to drill a 1/2" or so hole in the plywood leading edge and use a socket wrench, extension, and wobble socket to tighten the nuts straight on.

Any ideas? I will post up a few pictures when I get back from the hangar.
