Hello all, I am new here and restoring/modifying an eagle. I am going to the boosted aileron/s2c style tips. I have had no luck getting ahold of the guys doing aileron kits and have decided that I would prefer to build composite ailerons anyhow as I have the skillset. (structural/fab/testing,etc. but I don't want to play aerodynamicist)

1: aileron thickness Vs what the wing airfoil thickness would be at that spot as shown were the .156 dimension

. what percentage range is typical

2: flat panel aft of the aileron leading edge shape or would an curve be better.

I have a set of s1ss plans, digitized the wing and scaled the ailerons to the eagle's 40" cord. (s1ss is aprox 36") 29% hinge point etc.
