I'm looking forward to starting the ailerons. The hinges are 8 1/2 inches long and there are 4 of them on each aileron. Hinge material is .040 2024 extruded hinge (width of complete hinge is 1 1/2" opened up).

The plans are not clear on the rivet size or spacing. I came up with a preliminary idea. !/8 Avex rivets and 3/32 AD rivets are used throughout construction.

My thought was maybe 1/8 Avex rivets spaced 1/2 from each end and 1 1/16 pitch approximately in between. I could also use the 3/32 AD rivets but I would maybe need to come up with two rows spaced accordingly. It is a 100mph airplane and the ailerons are just over 5 feet long.

Any help is appreciated. I haven't contacted the designer yet.
