72B5CEDF-3D08-4CEA-B47E-553E9C820DA3.jpeg Wondering if anyone has experienced the Skybolt aileron hinges/slave strut brackets working loose on the ailerons. It has a wooden 1/4 block it’s mounted through in front of the actual aileron spar. It has become slightly loose over time (255hrs). I think just tightening the nuts would be a temporary fix. This is on my Skybolt Standard with two hinges. Also the aileron bell-crank bolt has become slightly loose where it pivots through the bell-crank bracket. These together have cause a small amount of play in the controls. I’ve realized I will need to replace the aileron bracket to remedy that issue. Was thinking about replacing the 1/4 wood block shown in the picture with a 1/4 aluminum block and putting a small plate on the inside of the aileron to eliminate any further issues. Ideas?
