I seem to get myself hung up on some odd things. Getting ready to cover my “S” wings. The aileron link from bell crank to aileron originally came through a plastic reinforced hole in the fabric, with a really ugly fairing. I started to create an aluminum panel that would go beneath the fabric, with a slot, but it keeps getting larger (heavier) to accommodate the potential aileron travel. After some thought, I realized this is not in the plans and I may be adding needless weight. That said, since this is hidden, low to the ground, I can’t really find pictures on how others have handled this. Are there off the shelf fairings and reinforcements for the fabric or must they be hand made. I have found some for inspection holes, rudder cables, drain holes, but not for this.
