    • In addition to our active community, our content boasts exhaustive technical information which is often sought after for projects and maintenance. This information has accumulated over the 12+ years the forum has been in existence.
    • We are also a great resource for non biplane users, since many GA aircraft are built the same way (fabric and tube construction).

Hey Folks, I had a little flutter in my Aileron Struts the other day, I replaced the lower bearings (28 years old) and added a Teflon Washer and the flutter is better but still has a bit of what I would discribe as slow flutter when Knife Edge or forced Slip/Skid. My Builder Friend Jerry says my next step should be added Stall Strips on the struts. My question is Outside widest part of strut? Or on leading edge of strut.. Any Opinions?

Thanks in advance!
