Installing a speed brake on my new garage project the torque tube rises above the existing seat ribs about ¾”. Plans call for adding seat rib material and fabricating new seat pan and side panels to fit new seat rib height.

I visited a gentleman in Arizona recently who had the speed brake mod installed by his mechanic. Instead of all the new seat ribs, seat pan and side panels, his mechanic installed a “transmission hump.” I like this idea but I have no way of professionally creating the aluminum tube to be used as the hump.

Is there a way to do this with minimal tooling?
