Some months ago I saw a thread with a discussion concerning aluminum leading edge warping in the heat of the sun -- the recommendation was to apply the aluminum in about 3 foot sections. My question is how to lap the aluminum material -- is it lapped (applied one on top of the other), or butted together on the rib? My ribs are 1/4 inch plywood and if it is butted there would be only 1/8th inch of each section on the rib -- that doesn't seem adequate. Would appreciate any comments.

Thanks, Stan
