I am using a cockpit sight tube for fuel level. The bottom of the tube has a bulkhead fitting - hose to 3/8" tube.
My return in the bottom of the tank is 1/4" tube. I had intended to use a reducer from 3/8" to 1/4" tube, unfortunately, a reducer will not fit on the bulkhead nut side of a bulkhead fitting. So, what to do - - In looking through my AN fittings inventory I discovered a "stepped sleeve" 3/8" to 1/4" (No idea where it came from, never seen one before) which would easily solve my problem but I cannot figure out how it works ?
My best guess is to slide a 3/8" nut on the 1/4" tube, then a 3/8" sleeve, then a 1/4" sleeve then flare the tube - - am I in the correct universe ??
I will try to add a photo - - -
Thank you,
