    • In addition to our active community, our content boasts exhaustive technical information which is often sought after for projects and maintenance. This information has accumulated over the 12+ years the forum has been in existence.
    • We are also a great resource for non biplane users, since many GA aircraft are built the same way (fabric and tube construction).
    • Annual membership also comes with two BiplaneForum.com decals.

Looking at (and dreaming of) this S1-T on sale:
http://www.planecheck.com/index.asp?ent=da&id=29221&cor=y

It used to be Glenn Frick's 4477Z and then Paul Lopez's N614GT, so has an interesting history to it.

Having some questions for those who know better:
Why would or wouldn't this specific plane be a good or bad buy for a first-timer?
Anything special to look out for or consider?
How do the 10 to 1 pistons affect the engine longevity or service?

It's probably rare to find a constant speed / variable pitch prop S1?

It's tempting :)
