Just curious if there are any seaplane pilots here. I am getting bored again and looking for a new adventure. I am thinking about getting my Seaplane rating this summer. Here lately I am having more fun buzzing the lake in my Cub than anything. We have a pretty big lake 10 miles from the airport. We also have some friends that live on the lake in Austin. It would be awesome to land on the water.... Ziek is all into fishing and I hate it. My wife takes him fishing. I bet he would love fishing out of a airplane 
Not sure what I will do after I get my rating? Put floats on one of my planes? Sell one and buy a float plane? Model 12 on floats? LOL!
After all these crashes lately and a few people my son knew got killed doing acro he has no desire to get in the Pitts anymore.... I really don't blame him and don't pressure him.
That is the main reason for us making a Harley trip to Oshkosh this year.
