I am doing a major overhaul on the 540 in my Eagle right now. I was going to get my cylinders overhauled but looking at prices it is not very much more to buy new. I know my cylinders have been overhauled before and run hard so not sure how good they are.
Eci offers a experimental cylinder that they say flows better and I can get it with a 9:1 piston which is much more reliable than the 11:1's I had. The cylinders will have warrenty. If I buy a certified cylinder and put in a 10:1 or something the warrenty goes. Anyway I am about to bite the bullet and buy something new in a few weeks. Anyone run these? Any input?
