Couple questions for you guys. I have the double fork 6" API tailwheel for my plane. There has been some discussion in the past regarding proper bolt hole orientation for the tailwheel. I've heard 3 things. Just drill for a AN3 through the pilot hole on top of the tailwheel casting as per normal. Drill a hole through the top and one through the side. Or ignore the top hole altogether and drill 2 bolts horizontally through the casting. I haven't drilled any holes yet. Waiting on guidance. One other thing, Bret Davenport had a thread quite a few years ago regarding missing washers on his tailwheel. I've only got the one big washer on mine. Do I need to put the smaller washer below the nut as well?

Kelvin
