I am about to make some new brake lines and the manual calls for an assortment of shrink tubing to be used to protect the lines from ground debris. It references various part numbers for the shrink tubing that I don't have, not sure if it is standard black color or white. When I looked at my old lines, they had some sort of a white tube or shrink wrap, hard to tell which, that ran all the way up the gear leg.
At this point, I am inclined to use a small piece of tygon tubing up at the top where the line makes its way through the sheetmetal and perhaps a piece about 6" long at the bottom. And paint the lines white like the gear legs.
Anybody have a different take on this? Well besides getting the drilled gear from Grove.......
