My buddy and I have been working on the location/relationship of the pedals since I got the plane home on 11/3. I'm happy to report that I took it around the patch just before sunset and the landings are no longer terrifying! Brakes weren't applied until I wanted brakes! We ended up cutting down the tab where the brake pedal mounts to the master cylinder (after trying a few different things). The brake pedal is now just past vertical and behind the rudder pedal...as opposed to being in front of the pedal by at least an inch. Oh, I'm also wearing an old pair of swim shoes which allow me feel every bit of the pedals...thanks for that tip.

Now to go fly it and get a bunch of landings in it.

PS - Next task is to fix/replace a cylinder that didn't get broken in properly (going through some oil).
