Have a question..... dimensions of the butt ribs on the lower wings. On the plans that come with the Steen Rib Kit - page 9/14 it describes the capstrip dimension to be used as 1/4" x 1/2". But I have some questions because....

1. All other ribs are made with 1/4" by 1/4"
2. There was no 1/2" x 1/4" capstrip in the rib kit from Steen
3. I bought from another Aussie builder the upper ribs already made (long story) and the butt ribs on the top wing ribs are made with 1/4" x 1"4.

and yet...

4. The plans on the lower wing show a 1/4" x 1/2" material (and in fact also the butt ribs for the custom butt rib required on the delta version top wings, which is different to the standard wing)

Question:
Is it correct to build with 1/2" x 1/4" capstrip and orienting it such that the butt rib is wider than all others, that is to say that the 1/2inch provides increased width so that the rib is now 5/8" wide (1/2 inch plus 2 x 1/16 gussets) compared to normal ribs that are 3/8" wide (1/4 inch plus 2 x 1/16 gussets)

Thanks
