I’m going to make new cabane struts for the Jungster 1, as after replacing the front top longerons and straightening the forward area from what it was they don’t quite fit right, that and the sound of fine sand inside them has me a bit concerned about the inside being rusted.
The plans don’t contain a great deal of detail on the process.
So as per my crude sketch, I could do something like what appears to have been done on the original ones.
But I do like the apparent ease by which MC06854 has done in his beautifully crafted Starduster too.
My streamline tube is .049 wall
Could I get away with using .035 sheet for finger straps? Or better to use .049 or even .065??
I’ll be Tig welding these.
