Canopy latch keeps popping open

I just recently purchased a Pitts s1s and it has the standard canopy latch system where the leaf springs slide in the the groves. But the left latch keeps unlatching

Anytime I fly above 160mph it seems to unlatch from the left side but not the right. I don't know if the leaf spring is worn out or if I just need to re bend it further down to have more pressure in the grove.
Any hell will be great! It's not enjoyable coming down from the loop and your canopy trying to slide back!
