You should see all the carbon fiber tooling going on here!

I've been in the factory over the weekend and this week getting the 787-9 Horizontal and Vertical stabs instrumented for the upcoming test program.

Chris, wish you could see all the fiber work going on here. The spars are a work of carbon fiber art!

I'm usually a flight line guy, but it's fun to get into the factory to see how they put them all together. Pretty impressive. I'm at the Seattle plant where the Horizontal stabs are manufactured, and in Fredrickson over the weekend where they do the Vertical stabs. Final assy is in Everett at the REALLY BIG hanger.

Looks like I'll be up there for the next year getting the KC-46 Tanker ready for flight test.
