Wanted to do a little session today. When opening the canopy I had the well known smell of gasoline in my nose.
Inspected the pump assembly with an inspection mirror and found blue stains at the cover plate where the pump handle ist mounted and in the area of the shut off valve. The old product manual does not permitt in field repair and states that the repair must be done in the factory.
I'm a bit confused on what to do.
Does anybody has experience with a field repair althoug not permitted?
Should I send the pump to aviat to get it repaired or will fall into an expensive trapp?
Should I change the whole system to electric fuel pump?
Any help very much appreciated.
