Hello Biplaners

My Skybolt has a dirty oily film on the inside of the rear fuselage behind the pilots seat. Most likely from years of running a smoke system prior to me acquiring it.
I would like to clean that residue off .. What should I use to clean the inside of the fabric? I was thinking mineral spirits .. but wanted to get some input before I began.
