Dear Braintrust,

Yup, overthought the landing gear belly pan. Made larger cutouts to allow for geat movement and will "boot" them if need be. Air leaks in a nonpressurized open cockpit biplane?

Now I am stumped trying to shape "cockpitopening reinforcing" aluminum tube. I tried al pipe with no joy even after annealing material. To hard to shape.

Which product next? 5/8 x .035 - 3003-0, 6063-0, or5052-0. 3003-0 is available but quite soft. 6063 I haven't been able to find. Would 5052-0 be malable enough to shape accuratley?

Living so far out, I have to keep my own tomcat, has a down side!
