I've done a lot of reading on this site, and it appears most of the Skybolt builders end up jigging and welding their own fuselage.


Has anyone taken advantage of the basic and/or complete fuselage available from Steen? If yes, can you comment on the quality? Having done it, do you consider it a good value?


It's not that I doubt my own abilities, but I imagine Steen has some pretty nice steel jigs, and I imagine their welders are quite good. For at the least the structural stuff, there's a certain peace of mind knowing the fuse was done by the pros. It would also provide a considerable time-saver on the overall fuselage construction time.


Any comments on the topic would be appreciated.
