During run up I noticed that about half the time when I pulled the prop governor lever back the rpms did not drop. I had to push it back in and try pulling it back again.

The prop would always go back when I pushed the rod in but would not always come out when i pulled it back.

Is this just a governor spring issue or is the governor itself starting to go out?

Thank you
